COOL STUFF: Aperture Science Documentary

Posted on October 3, 2011

Ever wondered about the origins of Portal's Aperture laboratories? Well a group of talented individuals decided to create a "documentary" which traces the roots of Aperture Science and how it got to where it is now.

Continue for more details and video...

"Aperture: A Triumph of Science" was created by Nick Celentano and Ryan Anthony Martin. If you think this is a little 5 minute film of a guy in a lab coat talking than you would be wrong. The documentary is about 20 minutes long and features not just a man in a lab coat, but multiple men in lab coats (women too!). Various aspects of Aperture Science are covered like how the company first started  and what the first product developed was, to more recent events like the development of the portal gun. I must say that the creators did a great job with this short. There is enough humor to keep you watching and the little additions like Aperture's first commercial almost makes it feel like Aperture is a real company. Fans of Portal should definitely check out this out!
