A series of Berserk films was announced way back in January, and since then, fans from all over the world have been patiently waiting for the first film, which will open in theaters in Japan on February 4th, 2012. Well, it looks like we won't have to wait too long for the other two installments to the first trilogy of the Golden Age Arc.
The first Berserk film, Berserk Ōgon Jidai-Hen I: Haō no Tamago (Berserk Golden Age Arc I: Egg of the Supreme Ruler), is one of many films to come, seeing how the studio plans on adapting the entire story. Many people have thought that maybe these films were going to spread themselves apart about a year or so, but it looks like the entire Golden Age Arc will be released within a year!
The official website has announced that the second and third parts will also be getting released in 2012 alongside the first one. The second film has been titled Berserk Ōgon Jidai-Hen II: Doldrey Kōryaku (Berserk Golden Age Arc II: The Battle for Doldrey), which will focus on Midland's battle for Doldrey Castle. This will be released sometime in June and will run for 100 minutes. The third movie has been titled Berserk Ōgon Jidai-Hen III: Kōrin (Berserk Golden Age Arc III: Descent), and will run about 110 minutes. This third film will be covering the infamous Eclipse, and will be released in Japan towards the end of the year.
