FOOD: Capcom Japan Opening Capcom-Themed Restaurant in Tokyo

Posted on January 18, 2012

Capcom Japan has just revealed menu items from its Capcom-themed restaurant opening January 25th, 2012 at the Pasela Resort in Shinjuku, Tokyo. The restaurant features an entertainment bar that includes kiosks for dining guests to play Capcom’s latest titles (alas, yet another device to distract you from your dinner partner!) and menu items that are inspired from its most famous gaming series. Check out some of the photos from their menu.

One of the restaurant's advertised desserts is the Resident Evil-inspired “Brain Cake” oozing with blood:

A dish inspired by the meat in the video game Monster Hunter:

Other items include a pasta and rice dish inspired by the Ace Attorney games and octopus carpaccio for an appetizer. I’m not really sure how those tie together, but they look pretty delish.

Here's another awesome looking dish! With Keiji Maeda in the background, this one seems to be inspired by Capcom's Sengoku BASARA series. Yum, octopus.

This has got to be the coolest merging between food and videogames/movies since the Star Wars Wookie Cookie Cookbook. If you find yourself in the Shinjuku area anytime after next week, definitely check this place out!
