GAMING: Minecraft Gets Release Date on XBLA

Posted on March 22, 2012

Have you always wanted to play Minecraft on your Xbox 360? Well, after months of people speculating, it is confirmed that the game will definitely be arriving on the Xbox LIVE Arcade, and it has an official release date.

On May 9th, you'll be able to own Minecraft on your Xbox 360 console for 1600 Microsoft Points. Sure, that's a lot for an XBLA game, but it's still cheaper than buying it on PC.

While the game barely had its official release last November, the Minecraft Beta has been out for several years already, and since then it's received universal praise from gamers, developers and critics alike (you can check out our rave REVIEW HERE). The new Xbox 360 version will feature the same gameplay from its PC counterpart, but will also have a four player splitscreen mode.

So for those who have yet to have it installed on your computer, will you be picking the game up now?
