MOVIES: New ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ Theatrical Trailer

Posted on May 3, 2012

It's definitely a good time for studios to be showcasing their upcoming superhero films, especially with The Avengers coming out this weekend. People already waiting in line as we speak, so the excitement is on for comic book movies. Warner Bros. just released their latest Dark Knight Rises, and now Sony Pictures just released their's to The Amazing Spider-Man.

Wow. There's a lot of new footage here not shown in the previous trailer, and I have to say, I'm impressed. We get a better look at the Lizard, some snippets from a couple of fight sequences, and a lot of web-swinging. Looks like there going to be a lot of action. We also get a sense of some of the things at stake here, especially with the "biological attack" mentioned. Well, I'm excited.

Directed by Marc Webb, the Amazing Spider-Man swings into theaters July 3, 2012, and it will star Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors/The Lizard, Denis Leary as Captain Stacy, Campbell Scott as Richard Parker, Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben and Sally Field as Aunt May.

  1. Looks awesome! But I can’t help but think the backgrounds look a little surreal

  2. This movie completely bored me to death. There wasn’t so much action. They didn’t pick very good actors. I mean, yes it matched the comics but it wasn’t a movie that made you say “awesome” and in the Spiderman movie with Tobey Maguire had everyone at the edge of their seats, and had a beautiful romance story that everyone found sweet with Kirsten Dunst (Mary Jane) . Andrew Garfield was just dull and an unexperienced actor. Thumbs down.
