MOVIES: ‘Ip Man 3D’ Announced

Posted on May 9, 2012

Martial arts fans rejoice! The third installment of the popular Ip Man series has been announced and it looks as though the star, Donnie Yen, and all of the original team will be returning.

Twitch has just reported that Pegasus Motion Pictures recently confirmed that there will be a third film in the Ip Man series. Also, the original team will be returning to work on this upcoming project. The film will also be in 3D. Although I am not quite fond of this decision, as I hope that the use of 3D will be sparse and only used to add depth to the movie. The film is still in development, however, the production team is aiming for a 2013 release date.

For those who have not heard of Ip Man, he's Bruce Lee's teacher and mentor. Here's the US trailer for the first film for you guys to check out. And if you're a fan of martial arts flicks, I highly recommend both Ip Man and Ip Man 2. Stay tuned for future updates on Ip Man 3D.
