GAMING: ‘Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD’ Confirmed for June Release

Posted on May 10, 2012

Sure, the more recent more "Tony Hawk" games haven't been too well-received, but I'm sure most of you recall the originals. Hell, I'm sure many of you spent hours upon hours playing the first two Tony Hawk Pro-Skater games (I sure did). Well, next month you'll have the chance to revisit them in awesome HD.

Tony Hawk himself announced the release date via Twitter:

"one more: HUGE thanks to @robojoshy for the donation & for keeping the THPS dream alive with @TonyHawksPSHD (out in June... yeah I said it)."

While the game is a definite upgrade in terms of graphics, it'll be much more than that. It will combine stages from both Tony Hawk Pro-Skater and Tony Hawk Pro-Skater 2, and will feature music from both games. Among some of the skaters confirmed are Tony Hawk, Chris Cole, Eric Koston, Nyjah Huston, Andrew Reynolds, Rodney Mullen, and Tony's son Riley Hawk.

The game will be available digitally on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. There's no official pricing yet, but we assume it'll cost you around $14.99. Be on the lookout for this game in June.
