For the month of May, we have Star Wars and horror movie lover, Pretty Poison!
A super awesome cosplay couple from Southern California.
GEEK BABE of the MONTH: Pretty Poison
Hey guys! It's May, which means we got a new Geek Babe of the Month! From Cleveland, meet Casie, aka Pretty Poison. She's a model, actress and lover of Star Wars and horror flicks.
C4G: Hey there! We always start these with you introducing yourself to our reader. So, tell us a bit about yourself!
Poison: Hi! My name is Casie, but I'm better known as Pretty Poison. I'm from Cleveland, Ohio, but I have lived and traveled all over the U.S. When I'm not at my desk job, I find myself modeling, acting and sometimes even dabbling in recording music under the name Time Bomb Heart. I also dig old video games, biking , and I write a fashion column for an upcoming horror magazine!
GEEK BABE of the MONTH: Jennifer Lorenzo
Here we are guys! It's now April, which means we have thirty-three days until Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye and Black Widow team up in the highly anticipated Avengers movie! Of course, April also means another awesome geeky gal to introduce to all of you guys! This here is Jennifer Lorenzo, one nerdy lady that loves comics, movies, gaming. You might even recognize her as the host of Geekgasm! Challenging her in a game of Tetris is futile, as she has had countless hours of practice sitting on the toilet.
C4G: Hey Jen! Please introduce yourself to all our readers please!
Jen: Hello geeklings! I’m Jenny Lorenzo, the host of Aggressive Comix’s “Geekgasm!" I’m weird, sassy, and sort of all over the place. So hold on to your bloomers!
GEEK BABE of the MONTH: Taffeta Darling
Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful leap year February! With it being March already (wow, time flies by doesn't it?), we now introduce to you all Taffeta Darling, our Geek Babe of the Month!
C4G: Hey Taffeta! For those who don't know you yet, could you please introduce yourself to all of our readers?
Taffeta: Hey Critiques4Geeks! I'm Taffeta Darling, International Girl of Geekstery, and I'm from Texas. I enjoy science, reading, gaming and traveling.
C4G: Before we get into the geeky stuff, could you briefly tell us how you got into modeling in the first place?
Taffeta: In the Dallas area, there was this sort of boom for photographers back in 2008, and I guess a few of them liked my style enough, so some of them asked me to help build their portfolio. Four years later, I ended up having a my own portfolio filled with costumed pinups.
GEEK BABE of the MONTH: Kessel Run
For the month of February, we have miss Kessel Run. She's a tattoo artist, freelance illustrator, gamer and all around geek. From games like Mass Effect and Deus Ex, to tabletop RPGs like Call of Cthulu and Dungeons & Dragons, she's also a huge book nerd and Star Wars fanatic. Oh, and happy birthday Kessel!
C4G: Hey there Kessel! Please introduce yourself to all our lovely readers please!
Kessel: Hello out there! I hail from the great white North known as Canada. Don’t be scared, we are a friendly people. I’m a bilingual French Canadian also known as Maery, currently residing in Montreal, living with my two cats and a mass of books, DVDs, games and art supplies. I work as a Tattoo artist specializing in realism and nerdiness, but I also get work as a freelance science-fiction & fantasy illustrator. I’m a tidy non-smoker who plays well with others.
GEEK BABE of the MONTH: Caroline Knight
To start of the new year, we have Caroline Knight! We bumped into her at the first annual Comikaze-Con in Los Angeles where she dressed up as the vampire comic heroine, Vampirella. She's a well rounded comic geek also loves manga and gaming. So here you go guys, here's Caroline, our January geek babe of the month!
C4G: Hey there Caroline! Let's have you introduce yourself to our readers please.
Caroline: Hello there darling! I'm Caroline Knight. I am an artist, cosplayer, and model. I have been to California conventions since 2009 and have made some of my costumes or bought them and pieced them together. I attend mostly Southern California conventions and plan to possibly attend out of state conventions in the future. The cosplays I do are for fun and portray my fangirl devotedness to the character that I cosplay.
GEEK BABE of the MONTH: Diana Terranova
As the year 2011 comes to a close and head towards the end of the world in 2012, we bring you Diana Terranova. She's a huge fan of the Harry Potter series, as well as popular zombie comic, The Walking Dead. In this interview, she compares Stan Lee to God, Santa Claus and Professor X, confesses her love for cosplayers, and of course, tells us what it is about geek culture that she loves so much.
C4G: Hey Diana! So introduce yourself to all of our readers and fans.
Diana: Hey Critiques4Geeks! How do you get a McDonald’s french fry out of a MacBook Pro? I accidentally closed my quad core laptop on a fry just now and wedged it into my keyboard. Oh well.
Introduce myself? Um, hi I’m Diana Terranova and I’d rather have Darth Maul eviscerate me with a light saber than see Robert Pattinson without his shirt on. I act in TV and movies often wearing as much clothes as Sue Storm Richards. I’m a comedian known for saying inappropriate things like “I want to lick Merle Dixon’s severed hand while a group of walkers trapped in a barn watch in envy.” Needless to say, I am not considering a run for public office.
GEEK BABE of the MONTH: Gina Darling
For the month of November, we have Gina Darling as our Geek Babe of the Month! She's a model, actress, gogo dancer, Narutard and gamer extraordinaire who plays on the Xbox. She likes Chan-wook Park films (awesome), and is one of the few people I know who has played Pocket Fighter. She's also into celestial bodies and space. Yeah, if that isn't geeky, then I don't know what is.
C4G: Hey there Gina! As always, let's start off with you introducing yourself to all of our readers.
Gina: Hiyo! I’m Gina. I live in Los Angeles and I’m a model, actress, gogo dancer, fire eater, fire twirler, and gamer extraordinaire. I’m part Vietnamese, Chinese, and French. As for my taste in games, I’m an FPS and stealth genre fan, which includes games like Metal Gear Solid, Splinter Cell, Call of Duty, Halo, Borderlands, and much more . I’m an Xbox player, and I heart sarcasm.
GEEK BABE of the MONTH: Amie Lynn
For our Geek Babe of October, we have Amie Lynn! This Arizona native is a gamer, cosplayer, and overall awesome lady! I actually got a chance to bump into her cosplaying at Anime Expo 2011 (she's the Lightning in this video). She is also part of XX, a group of geeky gals who love to just geek out! Anyways, here we go with the interview...
C4G: Hey there! Please introduce yourself to our readers.
Amie: Heya! Amie Lynn here, and I am so privileged to be C4G’s October Geek Babe of the Month! I’m a 21 year old Sony fanatic, currently going to school full time at this really awesome Arizona community college. Right now I find most of my time is being spent on one of three things: getting platinum trophies on my PS3, aka my baby, snuggled up in bed watching anime on my laptop, or strenuously working on future cosplays! Every now and then I wear a cool green apron and make people coffee drinks that are more like desserts in a cup. So I don’t have a serious career right now, but I am involved with a few special projects that mean a lot to me and each project is very much like a job in itself. There will be more project talk to come later though!
COOL STUFF: Tanya Tate Reviewing Comic Books!
GEEK BABE of the MONTH: Rosanna Rocha
Hey there everyone! For the September edition of our Geek Babe of the Month feature, we have Rosanna Rocha, an Arizona native who's first time cosplaying got the attention of almost everyone at Comic-Con International! We bumped into her as we were taking pictures for our image gallery. Who knew she was also a gamer? Luckily for us, she was nice enough to let us have an interview with her!
C4G: Hey Rosanna! So like always, let us start off with you introducing yourself to all of our fans and readers.
Rosanna: Hi my name is Rosanna Rocha, and I’m 22 years old. I live in Arizona, and I attend the University of Arizona. I work part-time at Game Stop, and I love video games!
GEEK BABE of the MONTH: Julienne
As we strolled around the Comic-Con exhibitor hall looking for some cool cosplays to take pictures of, we bumped into this awesome looking Black Cat! We were able to talk to her for a bit, only to find out she's a pretty big Spider-Man lover! So, here's Julienne, our August Geek Babe of the Month.
C4G: Hey there Julienne! Let's have you introduce yourself to our readers.
Julienne: I'm Julienne. I'm originally from San Diego, California, and moved to hipster central, Portland, Oregon about five years ago to escape horrible rent prices and spray tans. I've worked in the veterinary field for about six years, and love it. I'm mostly a loner who sits around reading comics and facebooking on the regular, and my favorite pasttimes are eating french fries and anything involving photography, especially pinup photography.
COMIC-CON ’11: Proposal At The Marvel Booth
Comic-Con is definitely a big deal to a lot of people. Geeks from all over the world head out to San Diego for the biggest comic and entertainment convention in North America. To some, it's a chance to meet their favorite celebrities, or get their comics signed by the writers or artists. But to some, SDCC means a lot more, and this past Friday was probably the happiest day of this couple's life. During the second day of the convention, our own Geek Babe of the Month, Claire Max (who's real name is shown in the video), was proposed to by her boyfriend in front of everyone at the Marvel booth.

As for what I do, I'm currently a student studying fashion design, and in my spare time I make fun clothes to sell! I'm also an avid reader, and I'm obsessed with Neil Gaiman.

For our first edition of GBotM, we have Tanya Tate, an adult actress who loves comics, cosplay and anything Disney. We've bumped into Tanya several times at some local comic conventions, but we never really had a chance to really talk to her. Well, she was kind enough to give us a little bit of her time so she could answer a few questions! How awesome is that?
C4G: Hi Tanya! Please introduce yourself to our readers.
