Mel: Well hey there! I'm Mad Mel Madigan, or just Mel for short if that too much for you. I am soon to be 25 years old from Miami, FL. When I'm not out fighting (or causing) crime, I help get people addicted to caffeine. I myself am addicted to caffeine so I guess that backfired on me...I'm insanely obsessed with comics, video games, and movies. I'm one of those people that yells at the screen if they get something from the book wrong. I randomly start dancing or singing. And I get distracted by shiny things...

After reviewing WHORE, the latest title from Big City Comics Studio, I managed to catch a quick second with writer Jeffrey Kauffman. Surprisingly, Jeff is a man of many talents and had a minute to let us know a little bit about himself in addition to some juicy tidbits of info regarding upcoming projects in the works. I even managed to probe him a little regarding the plot line for Whore and its self-absorbed anti-hero Jacob Mars and his future titles.
WARNING - SPOILERS AHEAD
C4G: After reading your bio, I found it incredibly interesting to learn that in addition to being one of the writers and founder of Big City Comics Studio, you are also a practicing defense attorney. How did the world of comics and law happen to converge on you?

I began acting at the age of fourteen and have since performed in dozens of stage productions throughout Southern California. I studied formally as an actor and a mime, and in 2008 left theatre work to pursue acting on film. I began producing and directing films through my company, Inventive Works, including my 2011 Gilliam-esque fantasy adventure, “Moonflower.”
