MOVIE REVIEW: Star Trek Into Darkness
Screenwriters: Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman, Damon Lindelof
Starring: Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Benedict Cumberbatch, Karl Urban, John Cho, Alice Eve, Bruce Greenwood, Simon Pegg, Peter Weller, Anton Yelchin
Release Date: May 16, 2013
Based on the 60s television show "Star Trek" created by Gene Roddenberry
While I'm not as well versed with the Star Trek universe as any full-fledge Trekkie, I would think my knowledge would be enough to get me by. I've seen a good amount of episodes from the original series, and I've seen just about all the films. When J.J. Abrams' 2009 reboot/sequel released, I was pleasantly surprised to how non-Trek it was, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing. It was polished, action-heavy and surprisingly funny, and I loved it. All my Trekkie friends seemed to have liked it, and those I knew who weren't fans, became fans. Enter Star Trek Into Darkness, the follow-up to one of the most successful and highest rated movies of 2009. So how was it? For the most part, it was a lot of the same.

While much of the details are still getting settled, we've finally found out that Michelle Yeoh will indeed be reprising her role for the upcoming film and martial arts choreographer, Yuen Wo Ping, will be re-joining as well.
MOVIES: ‘Assassin’s Creed’ Film, Starring Michael Fassbender, Gets Release Date
Assassin's Creed is one of the biggest video game franchises right now, and with the current Hollywood trend of adapting well-known properties (comic book, novels, etc.), I'm sure you saw this coming. Announced way back in 2011 when Sony Pictures seized the rights to an Assassin's Creed movie, it looks like the film has finally got a release date.
MOVIES: Drew Pearce from Iron Man 3 Selected to Write for The Next ‘Mission: Impossible’ Movie

Now we have found out that Drew Pearce, who co-wrote the screenplay for the summer's latest blockbuster Iron Man 3, will also be writing for this latest installment for Paramount Pictures.
MOVIES: New ‘Pacific Rim’ Trailer Released
We've seen our fair share of Pacific Rim footage, Guillermo del Toro's upcoming sci-fi film featuring gigantic monsters and huge mechas (if you haven't seen them, here's the first trailer, as well as the once exclusive WonderCon footage). But just when you thought those two trailer were something extraordinary, this new "Official Main Trailer" is even more epic.

MOVIES: Gremlins Reboot Greenlit By Warner Bros., Seth Grahame-Smith To Produce
Back in January there was speculation that Warner Bros. and Amblin Entertainment were in talks to bring a remake to the 1984 horror comedy, Gremlins. There were a few problems with pre-production, as many studios passed on the offer to make the film due to high financial demands from Spielberg's company and a director to help lead the movie was still in question. However, production is still moving forward and Seth Grahame-Smith is set to produce for the Gremlin's reboot.
