MOVIE REVIEW: The Great Gatsby

Posted on May 11, 2013

the-great-gatsby-posterDirector: Baz Luhrmann

Screenwriters: Baz Luhrmann, Craig Pearce

Starring: Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton, Isla Fisher, Jason Clarke, Elizabeth Debicki

Release Date: May 10, 2013

Based on the 1925 novel "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald

The Great Gatsby was hailed as one of 2013's most anticipated and most glorified summer blockbusters, but similarly to its characters, the movie was more style than substance. Although you can see that it was obviously beautiful, it really is just that; screen deep beauty.

Once upon a time, video game stories were so simple that the entire plot could be summed up on the first two pages of the video game manual. Nowadays video game stories are so complex that not even the game itself can contain its narrative. Which is why its so cool to see games like Dead Space get their own graphic novels so that talented artists and writers can flesh out the worlds and characters just a bit further.

MOVIES: New Action Packed Trailer to ‘World War Z’ & Poster

Posted on March 24, 2013

world-war-zLast year, we saw the first trailer to World War Z, the film adaptation to Max Brooks' post-apocalyptic horror novel. It didn't give me the trailer I was expecting, and instead gave me an action-packed, survival disaster movie. I guess it still looked pretty bad-ass (just very... "not what I expected"). With that said, check out the new trailer and post that was released this past weekend.
